USED ENGINE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PACKAGE
These are using a second hand used engine and transmission packages from a VE commodore. Complete with all factory accessories, repositioning kit, Engine ECM and standalone loom and sensors. These full aluminum LS engines are lightweight and very powerful. A perfect replacement engine for the original alloy V8. This L78 is an economical LS engine giving a great ecconomical option for drivability and economy. The 6L80E automatic is a perfect match for this engine and vehicle package with a first gear of 4.03:1 and a sixth gear of 0.67:1 gives excellent low range ratios, towing ratios and cruising ratios. This automatic also is fitted with a special tap shift feature. This is a large conversion involving chassis modifications, custom made oil cooler hoses, exhaust system, and cooling hoses. An aluminum radiator and electric cooling fans are used to cool this engine along with an engine oil cooler. Custom intake system is also required including air cleaner housings and much much more. Specially made exhaust system is also required all the way from the engine to the tailgate, to keep the noise pollution within the legal range. Special fuel lines also need to be run from the fuel tank to the engine as the LS system works differently to the Land Rover V8.

The 6L90E automatic is a perfect match for this engine and vehicle package with a first gear of 4.03:1 and a sixth gear of 0.67:1 gives excellent low range ratios, towing ratios and cruising ratios. This is a large conversion involving chassis modifications, custom made oil cooler hoses, exhaust system, and cooling hoses. Only available if installing a LS engine system. The speedo and Tacho are driven directly off the engine and transmission ECM's and show addition of an information window in the tach allowing the display of various engine parameters that can be selected from a menu. In addition to the speedo and tach, you can add oil pressure, water temperature, voltmeter, and fuel level gauges as desired. The most important display is the gear selection showing the automatic 1-6 gear. If this upgrade is not chosen than we have no way to show what gear the automatic is selected. We can only show P-R-N-O-D.
All our V8 engine rebuilds are carried out the same. All engines are top hat sleeved with new parts fitted throughout. A new water pump and oil pump is also fitted. The engine is balanced before assembly for smooth running. Cylinder heads are checked for hardness and reconditioned. All parts are chemically cleaned before installation.
Note: The inlet manifold and the retain ed components are not reconditioned along with all sensory items to operate the engine. These are not covered in this rebuild.
